Little Light

Light, places and quiet moments

Shadows in January

April 18, 2025

The fog cleared just enough to see the outline of the hills. These are straight from the camera, with only small adjustments. A few frames were slightly out of focus, but I kept them anyway.

Every season this place looks like a different town. The colors were muted, almost like an old postcard. Most of these were taken within an hour, before the light went flat. I am trying to print a few of these for the wall.

There were more people than usual, so I waited for the quiet moments. I only had one lens with me, which made things easier, not harder. I like how ordinary places change completely with a bit of low sun. I went back the next day for the same view and it was gone.

Some days you get one picture you like, and that is enough. The reflections on the water did most of the work here. Walking slowly is still the best way I know to find pictures.

These are straight from the camera, with only small adjustments.
