Walking with a 35mm lens
I only had one lens with me, which made things easier, not harder. Every season this place looks like a different town. Some days you get one picture you like, and that is enough. I am trying to print a few of these for the wall.
Walking slowly is still the best way I know to find pictures. There were more people than usual, so I waited for the quiet moments.
The colors were muted, almost like an old postcard. Most of these were taken within an hour, before the light went flat.
A few frames were slightly out of focus, but I kept them anyway. I went back the next day for the same view and it was gone. The fog cleared just enough to see the outline of the hills.
I like how ordinary places change completely with a bit of low sun. The reflections on the water did most of the work here.
