Little Light

Light, places and quiet moments

Winter light at the bridge

July 18, 2026

Walking slowly is still the best way I know to find pictures. I like how ordinary places change completely with a bit of low sun. I only had one lens with me, which made things easier, not harder. The fog cleared just enough to see the outline of the hills.

The reflections on the water did most of the work here. These are straight from the camera, with only small adjustments. There were more people than usual, so I waited for the quiet moments. Every season this place looks like a different town.

I am trying to print a few of these for the wall. Some days you get one picture you like, and that is enough.

A few frames were slightly out of focus, but I kept them anyway. Most of these were taken within an hour, before the light went flat.
